SESSION For the first time the Municipal Council Operational Bureau held a closed meeting on 17 September, after which the Chairman N. Kehayov announced the decisions taken. On September 29, a session of the Municipal Council is scheduled for 41 items on the preliminary agenda. Consideration will be given to those challenged by the interim mayor, St. John. Dulev solutions; the financing of Stroycom; problems of sports clubs; a report of a temporary commission for schools; a proposal for termination of the partnership between VKTV and Aquarex Ltd.; determination of a co-owner for a buyer of restaurant and diner "Bulgaria"; payment of mineral water costs for street fountains and many changes of regulations.

Asphaltizing Nejat Kehayov proposes that the local parliament send an open letter to the Council of Ministers and personally to the Prime Minister requesting urgent asphalting of roads from the republican road network. It is about the sections of Velingrad - Yundola - Yakoruda, Velingrad - the junction for Grancharitsa and Velingrad - Varvara.

BZNS-NS A regional conference of BZNS-NS will be held at the end of this week. The leader of Velingrad and a member of the Permanent Presence of the party Ekaterina Kaferinova will fight to keep the post of regional chairman of the BZNS-NS.

At a meeting with the Velingrad municipal leadership on September 8, the mayor of the Turkish municipality of Zeitinli, Mr. Shadan Aita, has proposed twinning of the two cities. Zeitinli and a resort on the Aegean Sea near Izmir, known for olive oil production. In the town there is a whole colony of emigrants from Chepinsko who still keep archaic Bulgarian speech. A decision on twinning should be made by our Municipal Council.

The Bulgargaz State Company chose Velina Hotel in Velingrad as a place for a training company seminar. Bulgargaz specialists underwent training on the new program for electronization, the software of which was developed by Alpha Sis.

DESANT Velingrad is subjected to a real theatrical landing. The evening of September 20 was set for a guest performance of Yordan Radichkov's play "January" featuring a bunch of theatre stars. On 22 September, the performance "Second Honeymoon" with the participation of Anton Radichev, Maria Statulova, Katerina Euro, Ivan Balsamadzhiev and others will be performed in the lounge in Ludgene. In the first days of October, a desire to visit Velingrad was stated by the Theatre of the Bulgarian Army with Anton Strashimirov's "Mother-in-law".

The Municipality of Velingrad will wash whether to join the non-profit association "Orpheus" for management of the narrow-gauge along the line Septemvri - Dobrinishte. So far, only one of the seven municipalities on the September line has spoken positively on the issue. The idea is municipalities to pay only membership fees in the association, and it in turn to create a commercial company for operation and maintenance of the railway line and to attract capital from the EU funds.
