PHARE The Municipal Council gave consent for Velingrad to apply to the PHARE and MRDPW program with a project for powering the water supply of the Roma neighborhood Anezica. The project-account documentation has already been developed and this increases the chances of financing the project. Its total value is about BGN 400,000. The budget line is to improve water supply in areas with potential for tourism development.

With baklava and sweets, DPS councilors bought their colleagues for the Muslim holiday of Ramadan Bayryam on November 16. The short celebration took place in the large lobby of the municipality.

SESSION The regular meeting of the Municipal Council for this month will be held on 25 November. Interim Mayor Stoyan Dulev refused to participate in the work of the Operational Bureau, which sets the agenda for the session. Part of the important points are related to the amount of garbage fee for next year, election of representatives of the municipality in the mixed commercial companies, the problem with the nursery - on p. 4.

MEETING The Union of the Disabled in Velingrad welcomed as dear guests its colleagues from September. Nearly 100 people with disabilities gathered in the hall of the Pensioners' Club in Ludjene, who experienced pleasant moments with the songs of the quartet "Anastasia". The chairman of the union Yanko Kanliev gave the guests an icon of St. George with a wish for courage and new meetings.
