Concert The famous singer, TV presenter and showman Bogdan Tomov visited with his program on the Velingrad stage on 21 July. For the sixth year he has been giving concerts in different cities of the country in cooperation with the National Association of Municipalities. Bogdan Tomov's show in the square "N. Gyaurov" was filled with games and awards for the children's audience.

CASE On July 18, the District Court - Velingrad issued a ruling in the case against the chairman and secretary of the 14th Section Election Commission. in the February 2005 mayoral election. In the ballot box in this section, before the beginning of the election day, ballots were opened for the mayoral candidates F. Beev and At. Vodev. The court handed down an administrative penalty - a fine of 1000 leva, which is appealed to the Pazardzhik District Court.

Among the topics discussed will be the proposal to buy on lease three new cars for the municipality at a total value of 75,000 levs; the privatization estimate of nearly 200,000 levs for coffee "Iglika"; a report on the financial condition of the municipality for the half-year; a business plan of "VKTV" and "EVKK". There is also a proposal for a trip to Ohrid in September at their own expense, which can be combined with a visit to Kocani - a Macedonian city that has declared a desire for closer ties with ours.

Checks are already underway, the most common violation is the lack of hot water in the cooking rooms.

BUSINESS On July 20, the Agency for Regional Development presented the new opportunities for business financing under 2 schemes, which are offered by the Ministries of Labour and Economy. Money will be allocated to projects to develop human resources and promote employment and to support the competitiveness of Bulgarian enterprises. The schemes are funded by the EU PHARE programme. 12 companies from the municipality showed interest in them.
