On June 22, the fourth session of the Plovdiv Court of Appeal was held on the appeal of Mayor Stoyan Dulev against the suspended sentence of 1.5 years imprisonment imposed on him by the district court in Pazardzhik because of the 2004 waste disposal contract with Beev and Beev. The Plovdiv appellate judges postponed the case for the fourth time and directed a fifth hearing on the case after their summer leave - on September 14, 2006.

The Regional Inspectorate of Public Health Protection and Control - Pazardzhik announced the results of a survey with 692 high school students from Velingrad, Batak, Peshtera, Panagyurishte and Pazardzhik. 93% of students said they had tried alcohol, and 58% had tried cigarettes. 35% of adolescents aged 14 to 18 have been drunk more than 5 times, with the preferred drinks being beer, vodka, gin and brandy. The retirement clubs from Velingrad, Pazardzhik, Krichim, Batak and the hosts from Rakitovo held a meeting of Tsigov Chark on 22 June. Each club delighted its friends with an artistic-musical program. In addition to songs, poems and people of pensioners, a free blood pressure measurement was provided. At the meeting the clubs decided every year for Midsummer to meet on Tsigov Chark.
