PROJECT Interim Mayor Atanas Vodev entered in the Regional Administration a project for repair of the ring road in Velingrad worth BGN 2 million. If the project receives funding, there will be a major renovation of the road section from the entrance of the city from the direction of Pazardzhik towards the Central Cemetery, the industrial zone, Kleptuza, the road to Sarnitsa. A register of work projects will be created in the municipality, announced Mr. Vodev.

On 24 February, at around 6 o'clock, the narrow-gauge hit a fallen rock mass in the Varvara - Dolene section. A carriage derailed in the collision, no one was injured. An emergency team arrived at the scene, using a crane to clear the rock debris.

EXHIBITION On March 2, an exhibition will be opened at the National Art Gallery in Sofia, in which the National Endowment Fund "13 Centuries Bulgaria" will show the most valuable exhibits from its collections. The exhibition is on the occasion of 25 years since the foundation of the fund and will continue until March 31. It also includes paintings from the collection of the fund kept by the Velingrad Art Gallery.

PROSECUTOR Dimitar Chardakov took the post of district prosecutor in Velingrad. Prior to that, Mr. Chardakov worked at the Prosecution Office in Pazardzhik.

TREATMENT The famous BSP functionary Alexander Lilov was on treatment at the Pneumo-hospital in Velingrad. Mr. Lilov was accompanied by his wife.
