The municipal company Stroycom launched a spring cleaning in the three neighborhoods of Velingrad. It will start on April 28 and continue through the first week of April. A schedule has been drawn up in streets and neighborhoods.

The Pazardzhik District Court has set a quota of 5 jurors from Velingrad to take part in the court hearings. Applications are submitted to the Municipal Council - Velingrad, which will approve the candidates.

SESSION The agenda of the regular session of the Municipal Council exceeds 20 points. The councillors will meet on March 31. The most controversial debate is expected on proposals for a pool next to a Women's Bath and for leaving Kleptuza's pavilions open during the upcoming summer season.

Computers On 28 March were officially opened with the participation of MPs from the ruling majority the new computer cabinets in Secondary School "V. Levski” in Velingrad and in SOU “St. Sv. Cyril and Methodius" in Sarnitsa. The computers were obtained under the government program "I-Bulgaria".

GALLERY The renovation of the municipal Art Gallery begins. Funds are provided for the main refreshment of the hall, interior spatial design, new lighting, blinds and improving the conditions for exhibiting. The funding is provided jointly by the municipality of Velingrad and the National Endowment Fund "13 Centuries Bulgaria". Curator Branko Manushev hopes that after the renovation the new hall will be opened with an exhibition by Nikolai Roerich.

INITIATIVE The fifth annual initiative of the Junior Achievement Bulgaria business training program also found followers among companies and organizations in Velingrad. It is called "Manager for a Day" and is held under the patronage of the Minister of Finance M. Velchev. The idea is for local businesses and institutions to share a working day with students. In Velingrad are actively involved graduates of Secondary School "V. Levski".

Team of the BNT show "Romani Lumia" directed by Kremena Budinova visited Rakitovo. On the meadows above "Pivoto" were filmed 5 songs of the folk group "Luludi" and 2 compositions of "Gypsy Rhythmics". The head of the two formations is Nikola Yanev-Choli, and in front of the camera they told about their participation in them former performers and parents.
