SESSION The Municipal Council held an extraordinary session on August 29 in the afternoon. Only one item remained on the agenda of the meeting: overcoming the crisis after the floods, and the discussion of the audit report of "Horos" was left for a regular session in September. What decisions the councillors made and how they allocated the municipal funds by priorities after the disaster - read in the next issue.

On August 25 at night, 2 mobile phones and 1,700 leva were stolen from a bungalow in Velingrad. Their owner was a 37-year-old man from Balchik who arrived here on holiday. MUSIC The representative brass orchestra and cheerleading squad went to the Greek town of Sindos. There he will participate in traditional summer music celebrations at the invitation of the organizers.

DISINFECTION The municipality will perform repeated spraying against mosquitoes, rodents and insects. The danger of emidemia after the floods has been averted, but additional measures will be taken.

The MEP Lidia Shuleva became one of the 18 MPs elected to represent Bulgaria in the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
