Until the tour in the Thessaloniki municipality of Sindos, which began on 26 August, musicians and cheerleaders were rehearsing in a hall in the building of the Beevi Brothers SD opposite the municipality. Mr. Krasimir Beev allowed us to rehearse until the tour, but then he has other plans to win from the hall, shared the conductor Dimitar Mechev. Explained is his great concern that an activity that has been successful for decades and has brought glory to Velingrad. The brass orchestra uses premises in the so-called building. Old Militia on ul. "Father Paisius". But she has been restituted for years, she is looking for a buyer and practically the orchestra may have to leave at any moment. We rather protect the building, and also pay a serious amount for "SOT", explained Mr. Mechev. In the community center building in Ledgene, there is practically no room for rehearsal of musicians and cheerleaders. Because to secure one, you have to reach out to the library. Undoubtedly the Representative brass orchestra and cheerleading squad is one of the emblems of Velingrad. Therefore, it is imperative that the municipality quickly find a suitable room for rehearsals. One of the options discussed is the former ritual hall in the Old Council, which for years was used as a restaurant and club of the Union of Officers and Sergeants in the Reserve (SOSZ), and for several months it has been closed. The new municipal leadership announced its intentions to have a ritual hall there again since 1990. Since then, weddings in Velingrad are held in the lobby of the municipality. The room hasn't given up on the S.S.Z. either. Another possible option to provide a hall for the orchestra is the canteen in the Old Council, for which there were big plans for projects, but in practice it is only a warehouse. Free spaces can also be found in other municipal buildings such as Stroycom for example. But it is imperative that the problem is put on the agenda and that the municipal authorities seek a quick solution to it. Elena Baeva
