On the first working day of the new interim mayor Atanas Vodev in Velingrad arrived the regional governor Ivan Dimitrov. His visit was at the invitation of Mr. Vodev and the two spoke in the mayor's office.
After the meeting, Mr. Dimitrov gave a brief statement to the media. Asked to comment on the situation in the municipality of Velingrad, he said that there is a decision of the Supreme Administrative Court, and the decisions of the court are implemented without need for comment. Everything is legal, court procedures and decisions have been waited, the district governor believes regarding allegations of self-government by the Municipal Council. Mr. Dimitrov also said that he wished Mr. Vodev to manage the municipality wisely and that in turn he contacted and was ready to partner with all mayors.
The governor also used his visit in Velingrad to wish happy New Year holidays to all residents of the municipality of Velingrad.
