I expected such a move from the regional governor, although he publicly declared that he would support the decisions for the development of tourism in Velingrad - so Mayor Dr. Tsvetan Dafov commented on the fact that the regional governor Ivan Dimitrov stopped new 5 decisions of the local Municipal Council. As we have already informed you, the decisions to establish a joint-stock company "Beach Beevi" for the Central Mineral Beach and for a new in-kind contribution with municipal land of Yundola in "Sport Beevi" AD have been suspended. In addition, 3 solutions for procedures with properties in Sarnitsa, Velingrad and Yundola have been stopped. With this, the total number of suspended decisions of the Municipal Council - Velingrad is now 18.
According to the mayor, the district governor was under pressure from people in the upper circle of power who are not bad to help and not to interfere with Velingrad. Dr. Dafov recalled that Ivan Dimitrov's annual report was how many orders and decisions he had stopped, showing that he was perceived as a repressive body. According to lawyers of the district government, the decisions of the municipality of Velingrad were hasty.

As the main motive for suspending the decision for "Beach Beevi" the district governor pointed out that the decision of the Supreme Administrative Court to hold a new tender for the Central Mineral Beach was not implemented, thereby violating the law for SAC and the CPC (according to the law for SAC, the court's decisions are subject to immediate execution).
The main motive for stopping the decision "Sport Beevi" to make a Winter Stadium of Yundola is that the given terrain is public municipal property (POS), and according to the law on physical education and sports, POS cannot be included in property of commercial companies. In addition, the decision did not state any factual grounds for the conversion of a public property into a private municipal property. The legality of all five decisions will be reviewed by the Pazardzhik District Court.
