There is a serious danger that the Regional Development Agency - Velingrad will remain on the street and the Business and Information Center will remain without the equipment used so far. On July 5, interim mayor Stoyan Dulev terminated the contract of CBI manager Vaska Milusheva. Mr. Dulev referred to violations of the EPA and the Municipal Enterprise Regulations of 1997, according to which the manager should be voted by the Municipal Council. In the case of Mrs. Milusheva there was no vote, her contract was signed by A. Toporchev in December 2003, but now he was terminated not by an order, but by a "notice letter(?!). On July 6, Mr. Dulev sent to the CBI a commission headed by his deputy Recep Hodzhov to describe and accept the property. At the session on July 15, the Municipal Council will approve a new Governor of the CBI, and from July 8, the Department of European Integration of the municipality moved to the CBI.
At the same time, the interim mayor took advantage of the right to contest decisions of the local parliament and on 30 June returned for re-vote two decisions related to the regional development agency working together with the CBI. Mr. Dulev wants the councillors to cancel their decision to sign a partnership agreement between the municipality and the agency. In addition, the interim mayor wants to revoke the decision by which on June 24 the councillors granted the RDA the right of free use for 3 years of the premises of the CBI. According to Mr. Dulev, these decisions are contrary to the interests of the municipality. The case also reached the Prosecutor's Office with two separate complaints filed by the municipal councillor N. Key and by St. Dulev. The opinion of Vaska Milusheva read on p. 5.
