The Regional Governor Ivan Dimitrov has sent a letter to the Mayor of Rakitovo Georgi Mihailov, informing him that the municipality has the opportunity to participate in the fourth celebration of Europe Day - May 9.
The initiative to mark Europe Day enables people to get more information about the problems of European integration and the process of our accession to the EU. Europe Day is a day of popular celebrations, and therefore municipalities and NGOs that develop a specific project to commemorate it will be granted a one-off financial aid. The total amount of this aid is 10,000.
Similar folk celebrations in 1998. were organized by the municipalities of Ruse, Haskovo, Gabrovo and Varna in 1999. - Dobrich, Blagoevgrad and Kardzhali, and in 2001. - Veliko Tarnovo, Montana and Sliven.
