On October 7, a group of municipal councilors from Velingrad held a meeting with MPs in the Mirror Hall of the National Assembly. On the part of the councilors participated 11 representatives of NDSV, BSP, UDF, SDS, BSD, Liberal Union, Party "Roma" and the new municipal coordinator of NDSV - Velingrad Georgi Maslarov, who changed the post of Nadezhda Klyuchkova. Hosts were MPs Milena Milotinova, Valentin Miltenov and Penka Peneva from NDSV; Georgi Bojinov from BSP; Yordan Bakalov from SDS and Dilyana Grozdanova from SDS.
The meeting was held at the request of the municipal councilors to inform the MPs about the situation in the municipality of Velingrad. The problems surrounding the municipal company Stroycom are presented in detail, where social tensions are building up, especially among Roma. The councillors have presented the important decisions to overthrow the interim mayor Stoyan Dulev and the election of Ivan Lebanov to the same post, suspended by the Regional Government. The accumulated tension between the Municipal Council - Velingrad and the Regional Government was not spared.
We did not make specific demands to the MPs, but wanted to introduce them to the problems of Velingrad and the municipality, councilors shared after their return from Sofia.
