During the week, the Organizing Committee for holding the Velingrad cultural holidays gathered to see how far things have come in preparation. This year is the Jubilee: 30 years ago on June 18, the beginning was laid, which has become a tradition. It was decided that the jubilee holidays would open on July 5. What is new is that within the holidays the state championship in sports guidance will be held, as well as that there will be a participation of the National Palace of Culture.
It was recalled that in the recent past the Municipality of Velingrad had 72 compositions against 3-4 now. Is it only the poverty of the municipal budget that is to blame or is it not small and the guilt caused by disinterest and bad attitude towards the culture to come to the current not "pink" situation of things? The members of the organizing committee continue to be shocked at how a decent jubilee celebration could be done with the $8,100 provided for the holidays. The attempt of the head of the Culture Department Hikmet Kapsuzov to reassure the attending chairmen of the Chitalishtes and the other members of the committee that negotiations with potential sponsors, including MTel, were unsuccessful. A new meeting is scheduled for next week, at which the presence of the mayor of the municipality Dr. Dafov is expected.
