The championship outlined the two faces of "Chepinets-Beev"

10.06.2004 20:29 •
The Chepinets-Beev team could not rank among the top three teams in the Southwestern "V" group, though there was definitely potential for this. The fourth place can be seen on the one hand as a very good achievement after the team played for the first time in the "V" group in 5 years. On the other hand, however, it can be regretted that it was a missed ideal opportunity to attack the first place in the group, because it was seen that the other teams were not so superior to the city team. The team achieved 18 wins, 6 draws and 10 losses. He scored 52 goals and conceded 33 balls in his goal. The team scorer became B. Vlaykov with 22 hits, followed by V. Kadyov with 7. Yu. Kozov has 4 goals, and with 3 hits each are B. Kyurkchiev and V. Krestev. With two goals are K. Bozhkov, A. Boikinov, I. Chushkov and S. Gardansky, and with one each are T. Kalpakov, D. Chonkov, I. Hrischev, N. Harizanov and goalkeeper V. Kuzmanov (vocalized penalty against Slatina).
The 2003/2004 season. started with a new coach in the face of Atanas Pashev. Without shining with who knows what game, the team managed to take the maximum of points in Velingrad and steal a lot outside as well. Despite some mistakes in his relationship to certain players, Pasha managed to impose in the team the desire for victory and irreconcilability to the end. This is also evident from the results of the team while Pashev was a coach. He achieved 9 wins, 4 equal games and conceded only 2 losses in goal difference 28:13, winning 31 points. With him, Chepinets-Beev eliminated 4 teams in the Bulgarian Cup tournament. A.S. However, Pashev himself failed his good performance as a coach with his thoughtless act in the match against Levski Db. In order not to hurt the team, the management of the club separated from the actions of the coach and released him. Thus, one round before the end of the autumn half-season at the head of the team stood Ivan Blagov - Larata. In the standings after the autumn matches, Chepinets-Beev was in 4th place, but only one point after the first.
The return of Larata did not start well, because in the visit of “Virgin” Velingradans fixed a heavy loss with 0:3. However, nothing was lost yet, because the program showed that the Chepinets-Beev team had easier matches until the end compared to its rivals. Moreover, the duo Blagov-Vandov attracted to the team the football players G. Ivanov, K. Kambourov and S. Todorov from Plovdiv with the intention of strengthening the composition. However, this move did not work out as well (except for the attraction of G. Ivanov) proved unsuccessful. The spring share of the championship also started with a loss in Kyustendil and this hinted that the problems were yet to deepen. The first squabbles in the team appeared and the split into groups. On the one hand were the players from Velingrad, who were definitely underestimated. On the other were the football players from Pazardzhik, some of them unnecessarily favored. The group from Plovdiv, also with some privileged and the group of D. Chonkov and B. Vlaikov as opposition to all. The last two left the team on their own and did not go to a control match. First they were removed, then they were forgiven, and then they were returned to the squad. More and more people watching the training of the team saw that the players did not prepare in the best way, and the relations between them were not brilliant. It lacked the most important thing for a team - the collective. The training process was at a low level, physical training was not enough, there was a lack of specialized training on the individual elements of the game. Players could not get into shape because it does not happen with a game of "drunk carrot" and monotonous plays in squares. Coach Lee. Blagov could not gain authority over the players and they were not respected by him. He did nothing to make them train better and create relationships of collegiality. All this affected the game during the matches. The team was struggling, there was no idea in the game, the uniform and elementary actions of the players were taking over and they were struggling. Mistakes in tactics, inaccurate shifts and incorrectly placed on the field players also revealed the weaknesses of the coach. For the time when Larrata led a team, 7 wins, 2 equal matches and 7 losses were achieved with a goal difference of 19:18 and an asset of 23 points. And after that retreat, the difference from the first swelled to as many as 14 points. As they say, when the facts speak and the gods are silent. And the facts were not in favor of "Chepinets-Beev". It even got to the point of talking about buying and selling in some games, the peak of the downfall was the match with “Balkan”, left great doubts about the definitely simulative game of some of the players. There is no evidence, but viewers can hardly be fooled when they see how certain footballers do not want to play to win.
Now it remains to make analyses and to draw lessons from the mistakes made. A new championship is coming and with it new hopes that at last the management, the coach (whoever it is) and the players will go in one direction to have a team that with its game will delight the audience and attract it to the stadium.
