PK Belmeken awarded its best contestants

It became a good tradition for the management of PK Belmeken to award on Christmas Eve and New Year its best athletes who achieved success during the year. It is now the third time in a row since 2002. since then, in the coffee shop of the Municipal Children's Complex, coaches, competitors and parents gather to express their respect for the achievements of the athletes in both types of sport that the club develops - swimming and triathlon. Yordanka Penina introduced the attendees to the successes of the Belmeken PC in 2004. Participation in 12 State Private-Team Swimming and Triathlon Championships, in the State Swimming Team Championships, in the Sprint Republican Tournament. 33 participants in the swimming competitions and 27 in the triathlon have won a total of 15 medals. Of these, 1 gold, 6 silver and 8 bronze. PK Belmeken was the organizer and host of the State Championship in triathlon and together with ODC-Velingrad is co-organizer of the city, district and zone championships in swimming from the Republican School Games. Again, together with the ODC, he is the organizer of the Easter and Christmas swimming tournament.
The chairman of the club V. Kleshkov awarded all medalists and participants in the various competitions. She was the first to receive her Vangelia Draganova Award, which won a gold and bronze medal at triathlon. Awards were given to Georgi Toporchev, silver and bronze medal at triathlon, Khaled Hamun and Kristina Bourdina, also with silver and bronze at triathlon, Gergana Poibrenska and Natalia Tomova with silver medals at triathlon, Nikolay Seimenov with bronze at triathlon, Yasen Yankov, 3rd place at youths at triathlon and Anna Zakhova, bronze at girls at triathlon and bronze. The celebration was also attended by one of the most successful contestants, who started from PK Belmeken. Georgi Popov brought the glory of Velingrad and Bulgaria to the United States, where he earned the nickname "The Bulgarian Dynamo" for his excellent performance in the toughest races in the world - a series of victories in various triathlon starts and second place at the most prestigious competition - "Iron Man". Georgi Popov received a prize from his first club specially made plaque.
All prizes were provided by PK Belmeken and the funds for the treats of the contestants were provided by ET "CASH" - Dimitar and Nikola Sharkovi and ET "Rzhankov".
