This year's state triathlon championship was included in the "Bulgaria YES" initiative. The host was again Swimming Club Belmeken and the federation provided besides Gorna Banya and a new partner in the face of Haribo. The competition was held on Sunday on the Central Beach and was opened by Mayor Fidel Beev.
Dynamic starts in swimming, cycling and running went under very good organization. The final ranking showed that PK Belmeken is among the leading in the country.
In the first age group in the girls, the gold and silver medals were won by the Velingrad women Vangelina Draganova and Gergana Poibrenska, and in the boys, silver and bronze were grabbed by Caleb Hamun and Georgi Toporchev from PK Belmeken. In the second age group, Christiana Bourdina won the bronze award. In the fourth age group Anna Zahova came third, and Yasen Yankov finished with a silver medal.
The competitors of PK Belmeken Ivan Zinkov, Angel Matsanov, Dimitar Zhelev, Nikolay and Georgi Seymenov, Nikola Gil also ranked at the top positions. On behalf of the federation, all participants received T-shirts with the inscription "Bulgaria YES" and the prize-winners and gifts from "Haribo". On behalf of PK Belmeken, the winners also received prizes provided by Zox. The tiratlonists are facing an international test in Turkey, where probably the Velingrad competitor Yasen Yankov will also participate.
