Chepinets Swimming Club objects to the decision of the Municipal Council to grant free use to the Belmeken Swimming Club a hall next to the Indoor Pool. On February 19, a meeting was held in the municipality to clarify the problem, led by Director "Municipal Property" Daniela Filipova. Also involved were the manager of "Sports Properties and Beaches" Nikola Todev, the expert "Sports and Tourism" Todor Bozev and Trepka Blagova from OA.
Ms Filipova stated the position of the municipality that in this case there can be no claims, as the Municipal Council has decided on municipal property. The hall given for the use of PK "Belmeken" until April 2003. was given as a tailoring workshop to the company "HENNY" and has remained unusable ever since. The municipality wants to help the sport and with this decision allows for normal training of PK Belmeken and all other clubs, as the decision clearly states that they will also have the opportunity to use the hall. The CEO of the Chepinets P.C. Hristo Doksinov strongly disagreed with the decision, as they were not familiar with the idea in advance. He objected in absentia to the councillor Ivan Lebanov that the decision did not go through committees and all sports clubs in the municipality disagreed with him. Mr. Doxinov went back in history, recalling what and how PK Chepinets has built over the years. Asked by Mrs. Filipova what exactly are the claims of PK "Chepinets" Mr. Doxinov replied that in this situation they would request the other hall of the Indoor Pool free of charge and that they want the municipality to say what its policy on sports will be. This is not the first, but the one hundredth and first objection of PK "Chepinets" against PK "Belmeken", the only purpose is to prevent others from working, said the chairman of PK "Belmeken" Velko Kleshkov. The club mainly develops triathlon and needs an indoor room with trainers and bicycles. The decision of the Municipal Council for the hall removes the obstacles for normal training of the competitors of PK Belmeken, who in recent years have had serious success in the triathlon. Mr. Kleshkov explained that the hall has been crumbling for a year, and they will repair and equip it, after which it will be used by everyone.
Since Velko Kleshkov said that he would make a specialized hall for triathlon, Hristo Doksinov expressed serious doubts that the Belmeken PC would satisfy only his own needs. Nikola Todev had to recall that when the hall was dedicated to a tailoring workshop, PK "Chepinets" gave an opinion that the company would not interfere. While now the hall is given for sports purposes and the free-of-charge office in the Indoor Pool PK "Cepinets" makes an objection.
The point of the dispute, which reached too high an emotional degree, put Daniela Filipova. She found a solution: the manager of "SIP" N. Todev together with the clubs to agree and sign a schedule for use of the hall, and then the municipality will sign the contract for free use with PK Belmeken.
