The General Assembly of Dolphin Swimming Club was held on October 19 at the Children's Complex. Especially for him arrived the chairman of the Bulgarian Sports for Disabled Federation and member of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee Ilya Lalov. The chairman of the Dolphin Club Georgi Kostadinov in a detailed report presented the activities of the club and the achievements of the individual competitors. He thanked the parents present for the financial assistance in participating in starts and pointed out as a major difficulty that OP "SIP" fails the participation of state championships at a 50-meter pool by not providing an opportunity for sufficient training on the Central Beach. Good words for the work of the club said the chairman of the Chepinets Ski Club Ivan Lebanov. Mr. Kostadinov also received the thanks of mothers whose children with disabilities have found only in PK Dolphin an opportunity to play sports and develop. A charter of the club was discussed and adopted, consistent with the requirements for registration under the new law for non-profit organizations. The topic of funding sports clubs was logically central. According to Mr. Kostadinov, the main issue is that of the outdoor swimming pool in Velingrad, which was lightly re-acted from public to private municipal property and put to auction (the court case has not yet come to a final decision - note.aut.). In the city, the sports base is not expanded, but narrowed and given in private hands, the sport in Velingrad is about to die, believes G. Kostadinov. Ivan Lebanov also urged the municipality to solve the painful problem by the money going to the clubs and not to the fictional enterprise "SIP". A new board of directors was elected, chaired by G. Kostadinov and members Nikola Deliev, Blagovest Bandev, Dimitar Belinchev and Ivan Lebanov, who will help with contacts with the Sports for Disabled Federation. Ginka Sestrimska, Velichko Pandev and Nikolay Delchev were elected to the Control Council. Finally, Mr. Kostadinov thanked his colleague from PK Belmeken Velcho Kleshkov for the good joint work and reiterated that the future of sports in the city depends on the municipal government and local deputies. Ilya Lalov took the floor to congratulate PK Dolphin with the achieved good foundation, which is very much against the backdrop of the difficult conditions for preparation.
