The sports dance club "Impulse" took part and performed worthily at one of the three strongest international tournaments in Europe - "Vienna Open" in Austria. This happened on 15, 16 and 17 November in the modern, accommodating a total of 2500 spectators Viennastadthalle Hall.
The 11-year-olds at 19, 20 and 21 ranked the pairs: Spas Tzanov - Elena Buchkova, Georgi Mihov - Adriana Gereva and Hristo Grchki - Diana Luchkova. At 15-year-old Evgeni Popov - Lyubomira Petkova took 40th place in the standard and 47 in the multi-bowl respectively, Stoycho Tsikalov and Gergana Kasapska remained 43rd in the Latinos. "This is the best possible ranking for our couples at this stage," said the club's coach Petar Milchev. "It is clear that this is not the standings we are used to watching from the tournaments in Bulgaria, but our momentary opportunities go so far. In order to be competitive with the others and to fight for the prize places we need more work with foreign coaches, regular participation in tournaments outside the country and gaining experience," summarized P. Milchev, who once again expressed his gratitude to the main sponsor of the club, who also supported this participation - Tselev Ltd.
The international tournament was held for the 8th consecutive time and was under the auspices of the International Sports Dance Federation (IDSF). In each of the categories competed on average about 100 pairs, with Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Germany, Italy, etc. In addition to the Velingrad couples of the tournament, representatives of sports dance clubs from Burgas and Varna took part. It was the couple from the club "Burgas-75" Ivaylo Tonchev - Ekaterina Lapaeva, who, however, trained in Moscow, took the extremely prestigious 12th place in the multi-fight with the over 19-year-olds at the World Cup of Latinos held in parallel with the tournament. This was the biggest success in the history of this sport for a Bulgarian couple, it was found out later.
