The Regional Council of BSP met in Velingrad on 29 November with the participation of the leaders of all 11 municipalities in the district. The meeting was chaired by the regional chairman Kostadin Kobakov, also attended by the member of the Supreme Court of BSP Ilko Savov, the ex-member Ilya Batashki, the previous mayor of Pazardzhik Slavi Genov. The Socialists debated on draft decisions given to them in advance in connection with the local elections. Conducting more mass events to get people out of apathy, visits of all members of the Supreme Party Council by villages and towns requested the chairman of BSP - Rakitovo Rositsa Hariskova. Mr. Vasilev from Septemvri emphasized on the preliminary analyses of the mistakes so as not to find themselves in the situation of red municipality to lose the elections for the third time. The question of training the party asset was seriously raised. The statement of one of the participants "We are kings of writing programs, but we do not always win elections!", received universal approval. Mr. Slavi Genov recommended BSP to present its management projects more attractive and accessible to the people. The previous mayor of Rakitovo, Georgi Popchev, proposed to create an election fund at the district and municipal level from now on. On the topic of coalitioning, the general opinion was that there should not be 2-3 candidates from left-wing parties. Mr. Kobakov said that the willing coalition with the BSP should prove themselves - how many structures and members they have on the ground.
