Some of the 4888 participants in the World Health Food Exhibition in the Italian city of Turin were the representatives of the Center for Business and Information-Agency for Regional Development Velingrad. Vaska Milusheva and Petya Krivuleva from CBI-ARR and the chairman of the local society of beekeepers Nikola Kolev showed the organic eco-sweet and certified herbs produced by projects in Velingrad and mountain honey from the area of Shiblyovtsi.
The interest in our presentation was definitely serious, Ms. Milusheva said. A strong impression was made by the certificate for 22 hectares of forest, from where fruits are harvested for the sweet. Exactly this eco-certificate of our sweet and herbs can open many doors, even more so that a jar of jam in Italy costs at least 6 euros. Against the backdrop of what was shown in Turin, it was seen that Bulgaria is ahead in the legislation and organization of organic farming. And worldwide, the interest exactly in products from ecologically clean areas is huge. Proof is the participation of so many farmers from all over the world, as well as this year's title of the exhibition - "Terra Madre" ("Mother Earth"). The level of the event is also indicative of the fact that the exhibition was opened by the Italian Minister of Agriculture, and the launch of the accompanying "Salon del gusto" was personally given by the English Crown Prince Charles.
