In connection with the expressed opinion of the coach of PK "Chepinets" Hristo Doksinov on the occasion of the awarding of Sportsman of the Year, published in No. 5 of 2002, the coach of OKST "Impulse" Petar Milchev replied:
"OKST "Impulse" is a member of the Bulgarian Sports Dance Federation, which in turn is a member of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee and the International Sports Dance Federation (IDSF). And that same federation is a member of the International Olympic Committee. From the next Olympics, sports dances will enter the program of the Summer Olympics as a demonstration sport, and in 8 years they will become part of the regular competitions. All this information can be checked at the DAMS (State Agency for Youth and Sports) in the office of the Bulgarian Sports Dance Federation. I further clarify that sports dances, although by two people, are conducted for a team sport, and we all know how few are the successes in the team sports of Velingrad. The received award is not only a reward for the pair of Balkan champions, but for the overall work of the club, with a thick emphasis on the short but at the same time very successful history of Impulse. Finally, I ask the question: Should we divide the children of Velingrad into clubs instead of thinking about improving the sports base and about the problems around high sportsmanship?"
