At the General Assembly of the Bulgarian Bridge Federation (BBF), held on October 4 this year. in the administrative building of the National Palace of Culture - Sofia, with full unanimity of the founders, "Bridge Club Velingrad" was accepted as a regular member. At the General Assembly the club was represented by its chairman Yordan Baev.

The General Assembly of the Bridge Federation decided on the dates and venue of the 2002 state championships. The Velingrad Bridge Club for the second consecutive year received the hosting of the open state championship for couples, which will be on 23 and 24 February next year. The club is currently preparing the necessary documentation to obtain a license from the State Agency for Youth and Sports. Preparations are also underway for the traditional already-Velingrad sports bridge tournament, which entered the BBF calendar for the dates between 26 and 30 April 2002. Tempo
