Prosecutor's Office Investigates 8 Forest Officials

The Regional Prosecutor's Office - Velingrad has opened 8 investigative cases against employees of VAT "Alabac" and forest guards. The charges against them are for irregular keeping of the logs for incoming and outgoing timber, which creates prerequisites for timber theft. Investigators are in the process of being suspended. If the violations are proven, the strictest measures will follow, announced the Deputy Director of VAT "Alabac" I. Mandraji.
Meanwhile, the Alabak VAT increased the control of the Nikulyova Church forest post as well. A massive structure has already been built on the site of the wagon that housed the point.
