For the fourth time, a composition of the Supreme Administrative Court (SAC) will have to consider and rule on the Sarnitsa mayoral election case. The record was reached after the last instance - a 5-member judging panel of the SAC returned the case for review by a 3-member panel of the SAC.
Four representatives of the Central Election Commission for the local elections were also present at the meeting of the five judges, announced the candidate-mayor Shukri Yakubov, on whose appeal the procedure is ongoing. According to him, this confirms his thesis that there is pressure from the DPS in the case. The situation is also complicated by the fact that despite the ongoing judicial dispute, there has already been a signed decree for the scheduling of new elections in Sarnitsa, Mr. Yakubov said. Such a presidential decree has not yet been promulgated, shows the reference in the State Gazette, but the question is why the CECMI has proposed to the President to issue a decree in the presence of litigation.
This week will await the decision of the new three judges, who will be the fourth instance of the Supreme Court dealing with the Sarnitsa case.
