On March 19 in the hall of the Youth House in Pazardzhik was held the regular regional reporting-election conference of the MRF. The event was expected with increased interest, an impressive number of MRF deputies arrived in Pazardzhik, including the one elected by our district Fidel Beev. The Deputy Chairman of DPS Lutvi Mestan emphasized as an indicative fact that Ahmed Dogan personally sent his people to the regional conference in Pazardzhik. Among the numerous official guests of the conference were invited the mayors of Pazardzhik Ivan Evstatiev, of Velingrad Stoyan Dulev, of Rakitovo Dimitar Andonov and others. Attended by the regional leader of BSP and Deputy Minister of Transport Georgi Petarneichev, the leaders of most regional party headquarters, the obmudsman of Pazardzhik Ivan Dimitrov. The Regional Governor Angel Cholakov also addressed the delegates personally.
In his report, the district leader of the MRF Ahmed Hadzhiyski made an analysis of the reporting period, in which the situation in the municipality of Velingrad was repeatedly commented. On the occasion of the parliamentary elections, he said that the expectations of the DPS and the promises of the first-placed Fidel Beev were not fulfilled. Mr. Beev had promised an election result that would guarantee the DPS 3 parliamentary seats, and instead won only one seat with the unsatisfactory for Velingrad result of about 7,500 votes. On behalf of the DPS regional leadership Ahmed Hadzhiyski urged the MP Beev not to leave behind the support given to him and not to try to sow discord in the structures of the movement as in Sarnitsa, because their interests are mutual. Hadzhiyski quoted Ahmed Dogan as saying that politics is the most difficult craft, which, however, is sometimes accidentally entered into. The first rule of politics is to make friends, not to make enemies, to learn to unite people, not to divide them. The report of Ahmed Hadzhiyski reported that both Fidel Beev and Stoyan Dulev won the mayoral post in Velingrad with the support of the MRF.
The speeches of the DPS delegates and deputies went behind closed doors. After the conference ended, it became clear that there were 4 proposals for the presidency: Ahmed Hadzhiyski, mer Hamza, Rusko Ruskov and Mahmoud Salim. The last three have self-repudiated, then with a full majority the 132 delegates present have re-elected as district leader of the DPS Ahmed Hadzhiyski.
