On October 3, a competition was held in the Municipality of Rakitovo for the sale of one Rakitovo landmark - the Sanatorium. Offers were offered by two Sofia companies: Medicoconsult Ltd. with President Dimitar Seizov and Prohelt Ltd. with President G. Kukov (the company provides software to the Ministry of Health). The starting price of the municipal property from a three-storey building 682 sq.m. plus administrative building 357 sq.m., garages and carpentry workshop located on 36 acres of land was set for 318,000 leva.

The company "Medicoconsult" offered 334,000 leva and the second participant "Prohelt" - 331,000 leva. The procedure provides for the buyer to pay 50% of the price, and the remaining amount to enter the municipal treasury in three equal parts by the end of the year, counted from the date of signing the contract. The winning company Medicoconsult Ltd. agrees with the explicit requirement of the Municipality of Rakitovo the purchased building to preserve its purpose as a type of medical institution. The presented business plan envisages a rehabilitation and restoration complex to be built. This will provide employment for 46 people. BGN 1 315,000 is also envisaged for the construction of a swimming pool, sports hall and other facilities.
The president of Medicoconsult Mr. Seizov intends to become a concessionaire of mineral water in the municipality of Rakitovo and to invest in this area as well.
After the competition, a working meeting was held between the mayor of the municipality Georgi Mihaylov, the new owners of the sanatorium and the chairman of the Municipal Council Vihra Uteva, at which the parameters of the new cooperation were discussed.
