SESSION
The last regular session of the City Council for the year will be held on December 13. The councillors will make decisions about the fate of the city's numerous temporary retail outlets. Among the 28 points, there is an ordinance for advertising and an update of the regional development plan of the municipality.

CONGRESS
The BSP Congress on December 15 as delegates from the municipal organization in Velingrad will be attended by Toma Pachalov, Stefka Tanchovska, Georgi Avramov and Krasimir Baykov. Guests from local organizations are also invited to the party forum, there will also be a banquet to celebrate the victory in the presidential elections.

CHRISTMAS
With little funds and a lot of effort, the municipality is preparing the Christmas decorations of Velingrad. Traditionally there will be trees in the central square and in the neighborhoods, already lit festively and the tree in front of the municipal building. Preparations are underway for the concerts that the residents of Velingrad will see and hear just before the holiday. The municipality will continue the good tradition of kurban on the peak holiday in the churches in the three neighborhoods.

BAZAR
A Christmas exhibition-bazaar started working at the Center for Business and Information from 7 December to 6 January. The center organized a participation in a Christmas bazaar for crafts in the Radisson Hotel in Sofia last weekend.

BELMEKEN
The famous climber Metodi Savov was appointed as the holder of the position of manager of the Sports Town of Belmeken. The interim M. Ivanchev will probably be his replacement.

KIDS
The children's complex in Velingrad will make a Christmas swimming tournament for children on December 15 at the Covered Pool. On December 16, there will be a children's Christmas morning at the Chinarite restaurant with the participation of vocal group "Zvanche", ballet "Maria" and Sports Dance Club "Impulse".

BEACH
On November 4, BNT aired an archive film dedicated to the election of Queen of the Ljen beach in 1940. The old strip is the work of photo "Spas Totev" - Pazardzhik and has sealed 19-year-old Maria Ruseva from Plovdiv as Queen of the Beach and 4-year-old Svetla Pesheva from Sofia as the most beautiful child of the competition. Before the archival footage were broadcast and interviews with Velingradians on today's Central Mineral Beach. Interesting memories told by Mr. Anton Schnitter - son of Mayor Joseph Schnitter, during whose time in Ludgene was built the first mineral beach on the Balkan Peninsula.

CEC
Sech destroyed over 30 trees just 2 days after the big meeting of all the chiefs of the Regional Forest Directorate, which we wrote about in the last issue. Readers reported in the editorial about another mass destruction of trees in the area above Kislovodsk.

STUDENTS
Many current (and former) students chose Velingrad to celebrate the 8th of December student holiday. The resort has a lot to offer to young people who filled hotels and holiday homes. It turned out that there were also disillusioned with overwritten accounts in a famous local establishment.
