The Sofia company Delta again won the public procurement for the supply of fuels for the Municipality of Velingrad for 2002. The same firm was a supplier last year. Competitors of "Delta" were ET "Tselev 91", "Beev and Beev" Ltd. and another capital company, which did not submit a perfect offer. He evaluated a commission chaired by Stoyanka Karpacheva, secretary of the municipality.

The concert of ensemble "Gotse Delchev" - Pazardzhik in the community center in Ledgene on March 28 ended with theft. While the performers were on stage, someone seriously trashed their luggage in the dressing room. Money, cell phones and other belongings are missing.

LETOPIS Historical Museum - Velingrad organized on April 1 a round table dedicated to the new reading of the Letopis of pop Metodi Draginov in the article of Dimitar Dimitrov, recently published in the newspaper. "Tempo". The round table will be attended by historians from Sofia, Pazardzhik and Velingrad. In the next issue c. "Tempo" will publish a full record of the most interesting opinions.

On March 27, the grant from the municipal budget for the cultural activity of the Chitalishtes was distributed, amounting to BGN 9,800. The three community centers in Velingrad and the one in Draginovo received 1500 leva each, 1000 leva each - Grashevo and Sarnitsa, 500 leva each - Sveta Petka, Pashovo and Krastava, and 150 leva each - Tsvetino and Birkovo.

SUPPORT Association "Intercultural Cooperation 97" also sent a letter in support of Ms. Radka Pavlova - a specialist in "Social Care" whose resignation Roma organizations insist on. The association gives an entirely positive assessment of Ms Pavlova's work. The letter was signed by G. Kumanov - Chairman, V. Pataranova, L. Atanasov and Il. Capsuzova.

EXHIBITION Students from STU in Velingrad showed on March 29 in the production building of the school their exhibition of furniture and carving. The collection included tables, chests of drawers, wardrobes, bedside tables, bedrooms, a wood-carving panel. With some of the works, the school will participate in an exhibition where other educational institutions from the country with the same training profile will be presented.

In April, a regional workshop on the topic of "Combating tuberculosis" will be held in Velingrad. The host will be "SBPFZ - Velingrad" Ltd. The decision was made after the recent meeting of all managers of pulmonary hospitals from Southern Bulgaria led by the doyen in the field of treatment of TBC prof. Vanko Nochev.
