DPS The municipal organization of DPS will hold an expanded meeting at the end of this week. The movement is expected to decide how it will participate in the upcoming local elections. So far, they have the upper hand in running for mayor on their own.

On September 2, negotiations between the parliamentary political forces to determine the composition of the municipal electoral commissions began in Velingrad and Rakitovo. Preliminary expectations are in Velingrad to state a wish for their representative in the committee and from the new parliamentary party NIE.

CLUB In Rakitovo BSP was left without a club. The premises previously used by the Socialists were, in the meantime, sold to private individuals. The municipal administration is looking for a way to provide the party with a new club, but there are currently no available municipal properties.

The crew of the Velingrad autopilot Tural Metkov took part in the Cave Rally last week. With the new car "Fiat" Metkov ranked third in class A 6.

By a decree of the Council of Ministers, the funds that are allocated from the central budget for ongoing maintenance of health activities in municipal hospitals were announced. For the municipality of Velingrad the amount is 463.1 thousand leva, and for the municipality of Rakitovo 71.8 thousand leva.

From 16 to 22 September will be held Mobility Week, and on 22 September will be celebrated Car Free Day. The initiative is in connection with the European Year of Persons with Disabilities. On this occasion, the Eco-Ministry announces a competition for children's drawings on the topic "My city without cars" and photographs on the same topic. The prizes are from 100 to 300 leva and the deadline for sending the drawings and photos - September 10.
