Gardens For the first time in years this summer, kindergartens in Velingrad will not go on vacation from July. The month will be working for all kindergartens. Changes in the schedule may not occur until August, and they will be tailored to how many children want to visit the garden and will be specific to each childcare facility.

The Municipality of Velingrad announced a public procurement for the selection of a company to carry out disinsection against ticks and mosquitoes. There are 3400 leva set aside, with which 120 decares of municipal lawns against ticks and 51 decares of mosquito biotopes must be processed. It will be sprayed against mosquitoes mainly along the rivers of Elenka, Lukovica and Chepinska River and on Lake Kleptuza. Depending on the situation, spraying can be repeated in August.

Wastes At the beginning of this month (4-5 July) in Velingrad will be delivered the colored containers for separate waste collection. The chosen by the Municipal Council company "Ekobulpak" will distribute along the entire length of the two main thoroughfares bul. "Unification and ul. "Han Asparuh" and in the courtyards of the training halls a total of 180 containers. 100 of the buckets will be yellow - for paper, plastic and metal. The remaining 80 greens will be designed for glass. It is not yet clear what the timetable for collecting the accumulated waste will be. An explanatory campaign by the contractor company is also forthcoming for the separate waste collection.

UNEMPLOYMENT 16,759 people in Pazardzhik district are registered as unemployed, thus at district level unemployment is about 11% and is higher than the national average. Velingrad continues to be the municipality with the highest unemployment rate in the district - 22.5%. The least unemployed are the municipalities of Pazardzhik and Peshtera.
