TABLESARY 55 socially disadvantaged elderly people will receive a warm lunch for 105 days thanks to a project won by the Municipality of Velingrad to open a social dining room. Food will be prepared at the Social Patronage House. The value of the project is 10,400 leva and is funded by MLSP.

The Regional Police Directorate - Pazardjik started from November 1st action "Light". Until November 19, police officers will check the condition of the lights and the readiness of the cars for the winter. Checks will be only warning until 9 November, then penalties will be imposed.

MEETING Regional Governors from all over Bulgaria held their regular annual meeting on October 30 at the Palace Hotel in Velingrad. The meeting was opened by the Minister of State Administration Nikolay Vasilev. The participants, including also deputy district governors, chief secretaries and public relations officers, were introduced to two new projects to increase the capacity of the state administration.

AWARDS At the suggestion of the chief of the police station - Velingrad Yordan Rogachev, the policemen from the police station in Rakitovo Petar Angelov and Todor Gadzhanov were awarded. They received cash prizes from Gen. Commissioner of the Interior Pavlin Dimitrov, after a month ago refused a bribe of 800 leva from a drunk driver.

UNIFORMS Schools in St. Petka and Honey meadows won funding under the national program "The school - a desirable territory for the student". With the funds, they will introduce uniforms for the students, and the school in Medeni Meadows will also receive money for a solemn celebration of holidays and anniversaries.

ROTARY The new district governor of Rotary - Bulgaria Dr. Lyuben Atanasov visited for the first time the Veliko Tarnovo Rotary and Interact Club. The meeting was held on November 2 at the Olymp Hotel.

THEATRE The Pazardzhik Drama Theatre "K. Velichkov” guest-starred on the Velichkov stage with the play "God, My God, Hello" by John Patrick. The performance is on November 4 at 7 pm in the hall of the community center "Father Paisii".
Grounded District Court - Velingrad imposed fines of 50 levs on three Veligradans who caused a fight in a disco last Sunday and on a 44-year-old rakitovets who beat his wife after a family scandal. The four stayed in custody for 24 hours. The police are pursuing immediate proceedings against the driver of the opal T. M., 42. from Velingrad, detained with 2.27 permila and against P. T., 34. from Sofia, which on Wednesday night caused a crash on the road Velingrad - Avramovo, driving with 1.48 alcohol.
