THIEF 10,000 leva disappeared from a desk in the office of a famous Draginovo company after a theft on the night of 30 January. The perpetrator (or perpetrators) broke in through two doors. The investigation of the case is led by the Police Department - Velingrad.

AIDS
Due to missed deadlines for 2001 a total of 45 000 levs for social benefits in the municipality of Velingrad were left unpaid. This is because certain types of aid have strict payment deadlines. Those who miss the dates lose the right to help for the respective month and the money is returned to the state treasury.

AUDI
On January 27, an Audi car was stolen from the Cooperative Market in Velingrad. A few days later, the owner of the car told police that he found her alone on the way to the Varvara railway line after an anonymous call on his mobile phone. The situation is strongly reminiscent of the usual demand and receipt of ransom, according to people familiar with the matter.

HOSPITALS
On February 2, a working meeting was held at the Ministry of Health with the participation of the Director of RZZ - Pazardzhik Dr. Gerov, the Mayor of Pazardzhik Dr. Kolchakov and Assoc. Stoyan Alexandrov, Director of Directorate at the Ministry of Health. The meeting was attended by Dr. R. Kyurkchieva, Dr. El. Shopova and Mrs. Nikolova from the municipality. Hospital facilities for hospital care on the territory of the district were analyzed. Referring to the Patient's Charter that every sick person has equal rights to treatment, Dr Shopova has raised the issue of eliminating zoning.

TOURISM
On February 13 and 14, the traditional Tourist Exchange will be held in Sofia. The municipality and the Center for Business and Information are preparing this year's presentation of Velingrad.

FIRE
On the night of 31 January, two outbuildings were burned. At 2.30 a.m. the fire incinerated an agricultural building in the village. Allendarovo, and an hour later the same happened in Dolno Dabevo. The reasons are clarified by the Police Department - Velingrad.

CONCERT
On February 9 in the hall of Vasil Levski Community Center in the quarter. Kamenica folk ensemble from Belgrade will give a concert. Entry to the event is free.

CABEL
Once again, over the weekend, the local cabler tore the nerves of subscribers on ul. "Evlogi Georgiev" with "excellent" sound and picture of TV channels. Because of the lack of competition in the cable operators market over the weekend, there is also no hope of repairing the damage, although subscribers right then have the most time for TV.

CHECK
A commission headed by the chief architect of the municipality checked 20 sites in Velingrad in relation to the requirements for public buildings where large groups of people gather. Drastic violations were not found, prescriptions were compiled of several establishments.
