A torrential rain and hailstorm on July 2 destroyed street pavements in Draginovo, and the town hall's central square sank in silt. Damage is being removed, no one is injured.

By decree, President Georgi Parvanov scheduled partial elections for mayor of Kostandovo after the one elected in 2007. Mayor Yasen Pashomov was deprived of the right to hold office by a court decision. The vote will be on October 16, 2010.

WATER The two fountains and the small fountain in front of the municipality building became operational after years of not performing their functions. The municipal brigade removed the damage and water flowed down the pipe clogged by a rubber cane tip. Now it is time to repair the fountain next to the Old Municipality, which has also dried up for a long time.

Rotary clubs from Pazardzhik and Velingrad held the ceremony of changing the club presidents on 3 July in the resort of Tsigov Chark. The current president of the Rotary Club Velingrad Boryana Belukhova handed over the baton to Borislav Borisov, and the current secretary Georgi Alargov - to Petar Chryschev.

The Committee on Files publishes the consecutive names of management officers of the Ministry of Interior, collaborators of the State Security. Among the announced is the name of Peter Parvov, born in 1954. in Velingrad, a full-time employee in Sofia.

COMPETITION Three of the five candidates for Director of the Labor Office - Velingrad are admitted to the next stage in the competition: Veselina Yamakova-Kovacheva, Anna Koeva and Vasil Kovachev. On July 1, they have appeared for an interview and the Employment Agency is now expected to announce the final result.
