EXHIBITION On April 4, the first solo exhibition-bazaar of the master of Easter-written eggs Vasilka Arsenova-Hristoskova was opened in the grand-hotel "Velingrad". With a lot of imagination and skill and with respect to the local tradition, she has written dozens of eggs with fine drawing and rich colors. Visitors are also amazed by the incredible drawings on three huge ostrich eggs, with which Vasilka Arsenova-Hristoskova, Katerina Arsenova and Nina Arsenova pose in the picture.



The Forest Week begins. The Regional Directorate of Forestry - Pazardzhik announced that by the end of May a total of 2172 decares of forest areas will be planted in the district. The funds are from the Bulgarian Forest Fund, and special attention will be paid to the burned, dried and felled forests. Forest farms in Velingrad, Cheljovo and Village will hire workers for the afforestation under temporary employment programs.

The spring snowmelt caused problems in some of the villages from the municipality of Velingrad. Landslides and road failures were in the area of Krastava, Butrevo, Vranentsi, Birkovo. The roofs of residential buildings were also damaged.

EXHIBITIONS Another stop of the traveling exhibition of the written eggs from Chepinsko is in the museum in Kardzhali. The masters from Velingrad will show what eggs they have painted for this Easter at their traditional exhibition. It will open at the History Museum on April 10 (and not April 9 as announced in advance) at 5 p.m. This week, the masters have another important appearance: the first bazaar of Easter eggs in the capital, in front of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, begins. At the same time, the National Ethnographic Museum in Sofia will host the exhibition with written eggs from the Chepin region.

AWARDS At a celebration in the capital the President of the Union of Officers and Sergeants from the Reserve and Reserve - Velingrad Col. Georgi Daskalov received from the Minister of Defence an award sign for good service, an honorary officer's license and a diploma signed by Prime Minister S. Stand up for long-term service. The BOI Public Health Inspectorate (RIOCOZ) performed laboratory tests of the egg dyes, which are sold commercially in Pazardzhik district. The results indicate that there are no deviations from the norms in egg dyes.

VELIKO TARNOVO Historical Museum - Velingrad received a special invitation for participation from the organizers of the International Exhibition for Cultural Tourism in Veliko Tarnovo. During the forum from 8 to 11 April, the Association of Hoteliers and Restaurantiers will also make a presentation of Velingrad as the SPA capital of the Balkans.
