TRAVOUR The celebration announced by the Municipality of Velingrad on the occasion of September 6 - the Day of Unification did not take place. The municipal leadership cancelled the celebration as a sign of sympathy to the tragic fate of the 15 Bulgarians who died a day earlier in the sinking of the ship Ilinden in the Ohrid Lake and to the grief of their loved ones. On September 7, the day of national mourning was celebrated in Velingrad.
