With a prolonged ringing of the bells on the morning of August 6, Transfiguration of the Lord, the Ljen church "Assumption of the Virgin" heralded the great celebration and the presence of Metropolitan Nikolai of Plovdiv. During his stay in Velingrad, the Metropolitan of Plovdiv Nikolay met with the mayor of the municipality Ivan Lebanov and people from the mayor's team.

CASE Boris Golomehov challenged before the Pazardzhik Administrative Court the decisions by which the Municipal Election Commission - Velingrad did not suspend the powers of VMRO advisers Alexander Gagov and Yanko Sachkov. Members of the Association of Hunters and Fishermen from Velingrad joined the national celebration of 110 years since the establishment of the Hunting and Fishing Union in Blugaria. The celebration of the jubilee took place over the weekend in the Uzana locality near Gabrovo, where the 11th National Hunting Fair was held and the flags of the local associations were consecrated.
