On June 11, the ship "Action Glory" was released from captivity, which on January 1 this year. was hijacked by Somali pirates. Among the captured 8 Bulgarian sailors was the Velingrad man Atanas Iliev. All our sailors are in good health, announced the company-owner of the ship "Zodiac". A ransom was paid for the release - an amount of $5.8 million is indicated, compared to the 15 million originally demanded by the pirates. The sailors are expected to return to Bulgaria this week.



A hearing was scheduled for June 9 in the District Court - Pazardzhik in the case against the excme of the municipality of Velingrad Atanas Vodev for caused damages to the municipal treasury in repairing the damage from the floods in 2005. The case was returned to the lower court by the Plovdiv Court of Appeal, which overturned the defendant's conviction and handed down a new hearing by another court panel.
