Starting from 16 March, Eco Titan is fully ready to take over the cleaning and landscaping of Velingrad. There are no legal obstacles for the firm that won the purity contract to start fulfilling its contract with the municipality. Mayor Ivan Lebanov has sent a notification letter about this to the Stroycom municipal society, which has been carrying out these activities so far. Over 90 people working at Stroycom have already been reassigned to Eco Titan. How the work of the new company will start we will see this week, but the expectations and requirements of the residents in terms of cleanliness and landscaping of the city are great.



The National Assembly published a preliminary contract notice, which provides for a major renovation of the hotel complex of the Medical and Recreational Base in Velingrad. Construction and installation works will include major repairs to the water supply and sewerage, heating, ventilation and electrical installation of the building.

On the official website of the municipality of Velingrad were uploaded the proposals for a change in the Ordinance on organization and safety of the movement. The proposed changes concern the inclusion of new sections in the "blue zone" for parking. At the proposal of the majority in the Municipal Council "blue zone" should become the spaces from hotel "Rich" to the former "Quiet Corner", from Energoto to Str. Otets Paisiy, in front of Kleptuza Hotel in the district. Chepino and the built parking lot next to Bor Hotel. The proposal was once stopped by the district governor, but is now being done again - this time as an amendment to the ordinance.

On May 28, the municipality of Velingrad will conduct a public procurement for the selection of an investment consultant and the preparation of an conceptual and technical project for construction, reconstruction and rehabilitation of water supply networks and facilities in St. Petka. This is necessary in order to be able to participate with future projects under the National Rural Development Program.

On March 18, a group of students and lecturers from Oxted, England is expected to arrive in Velingrad. They will be visiting Vasil Levski Secondary School. Under a joint project, students and teachers from the Velingrad school were in England in the autumn of last year, and now their English friends are returning the visit.

The Agency of Cartography and Geodesy opened a procedure for creating a cadastral map and cadastral register for the territory of the land of Velingrad.

MATURES From 16 March the submission of applications for admission to state matriculation exams began. By March 27, the matriculants shall indicate their chosen second subject on which they will hold their matriculation. The compulsory matriculation in Bulgarian language and literature will be on May 17, and on a second selected subject - on May 19, 2008.
