Hospital Dr. Yordanka Savova won the competition for the manager of the municipal hospital. The decision of the selection board is unanimous. Dr. Radiana Kyurkchieva, who also participated in the competition, will appeal it on the basis of procedural violations.

The EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) report of the Sutka Sports Centre project has been submitted to the Ministry of Ecology and Water. It is expected to schedule a date on which the report will be considered by the High Expert Council.

On February 6, the District Court - Pazardzhik dismissed the case on the decision returned by the regional governor for the concessions of the municipal baths in Velingrad. The regional government and the Municipality of Velingrad have reached a mutual agreement.

BOMB On February 13, at about 10.30 am, in the police station - Velingrad, a message was received by phone about a bomb placed in the school "Hristo Botev" in Kamenitsa. Police officers arrive immediately, beginning a sweep of all premises of the building. An explosive device was not found and after about an hour the classes were resumed. Another fat "joke" must be the work of students wanting to save their learning and testing.

BEACH On February 13, the Supreme Court had to hear the case for the tender for the Central Mineral Beach, which has been going on for 2 years now. The meeting was postponed because no representative of the Municipality of Velingrad appeared.

A competition for making martenitsas and spring cards is organized by the Children's Complex for all children and adolescents from the municipality. Exhibits are accepted until February 25, and the winners will receive prizes at a special celebration for Baba Marta.

TRIFON ZAREZAN Already for the fourth year on February 14 a group of fans of St. Trifon gathers at the City Mineral Beach and honors this holiday. And this year more than 20 people were treated to red wine and various types of appetizers, after which the traditional photos were taken as a memory.
