MUFTIA Mustafa Alish Hadzhi from Draginovo was re-elected to the post of Grand Mufti at an extraordinary Muslim conference this Saturday in the National Palace of Culture. His previous election to the post in 2005. was challenged by court, now a new litigation is expected.

HEBAR Mayor Ivan Lebanov joined the Management Board of Hebar Association. It has 23 municipalities from South Central Region and the election of the Board is by voting.

The theatre collective at ONC "Father Paisii" - Velingrad participated in the festival of amateur theaters "Kozloduyska stage" in the Danube city. The chairman of the community center board Tsvetan Kotev announced that with his play "Heaven without a roof" the Veliko Tarnovo amateurs have won the audience award at the festival, which has no competitive character.

On 23rd and 24th of April in the Pensioner's Club in Rakitovo will be organized Easter exhibition-bazar together with the municipality. The funds raised will help an elderly woman, a long-time member and an active participant in the events of the club, who is seriously ill.

Museum Gotov is the architectural project of the future historical museum in Rakitovo. Due to the restoration of the building, the museum collection is currently homeless. The new project is the work of Arch. Manolov.

CYGARIES In a raid of the police station - Velingrad on the market in Rakitovo was detained Z. B., 43, who sold cigarettes without banderol. Cigarettes were seized, and police proceedings were brought against the offender.

Fines District Court - Velingrad imposed fines of 100 and 150 leva to four men for hooligan behavior. The Three C.L.s, 48, I.S., 43. and B. B., 44. caused a violent scandal in a pub, and A.A., 31 did the same in a cafe in Draginovo.
