The National Association of Municipalities grants a grant of BGN 50,000 to the municipal hospital "MHAT-Velingrad", announced Deputy Mayor Angel Daskalov. The subsidy is given quarterly and is for hospitals that serve patients from remote areas, such as Velingrad.

ARMUNI The Folklore Group of the Armons from Velingrad and Rakitovo "Kantikou Nostu" led by Nikola Yanev took part in an international festival in Kochani, Macedonia. Armenian groups and individual performers from Macedonia, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania and Serbia gathered there. The festival is under the auspices of the Macedonian Ministry of Culture and the municipality of Kocani and is non-competitive. "Kantikou Nostu" was the only group that presented the traditions and folklore of the Armenians from Bulgaria.
