On the signal of a 59-year-old Velingrad woman, the police found a theft of electricity. The check showed that electricity was being stolen at the expense of the woman from a neighboring house using a 40-meter cable. The 35-year-old neighbor is facing rapid police proceedings.

LEADER On 24 August Belovo hosted the first information meeting between representatives of the municipalities of Velingrad, Septemvri and Belovo. The three municipalities have already made decisions to establish a joint Local Initiative Group (LAG) under the Rural Development Programme and the LEADER approach. The first working meeting will be scheduled to begin developing a strategy for the development of the territory of the future local initiative group.
