ELECTION The Municipal Election Commission in Velingrad met on November 18 on the case of St. Petka City Hall, after the sudden death of Mayor Musa Mandradjiev on October 14. Since until the regular local vote in 2011. Having a little over 1 years, the OIC decided to propose to the Central Election Commission to start a procedure for scheduling a partial election of the mayor of St. Petka. The date for holding the election will be determined by a decree of President D. Parvanov. Meanwhile, the Municipal Council - Velingrad has to elect an interim mayor of St. Petka, but such a point is not on the agenda for the session on October 28.



From 18 October in Municipal Children Complex-Velingrad started distributing aids to socially disadvantaged residents of the municipality according to lists prepared by the Social Assistance Directorate. This is the third tranche of European aid, with the Bulgarian Red Cross and the municipality taking care of their distribution. All citizens who received energy assistance in 2009-2010 have the right to receive assistance. The aids are received at the point at 2 Gotse Delchev Str. from 9 to 16 hours. Their distribution will continue until November 12, 2010.
