ITALY Eight people from the Municipal Administration during the past week were on a visit to Italy under the project "Acquisition of skills and achievement of public activity to create a local initiative group in the municipalities of Belovo, Septemvri and Velingrad". The delegation includes the three deputy mayors Valentina Tsvetanova, Diana Kehayova and Ismet Babuchi, the chief financier Hristo Savov, officials from the European Integration Directorate headed by Radka Ruseva.



The Regional Health Center submitted to the Health Ministry a draft regional health card. According to her, all current diagnostic and consulting centers are preserved in the Pazardzhik region. All hospitals remain, including in Velingrad, and only the hospital in Panagyurishte will be transformed for additional treatment.

DISTILLERY Sofia company will build a distillery for essential oils in Rakitovo. The regional eco-inspection decided not to carry out an environmental impact assessment, as the production does not affect the NATURA protected area, does not generate waste and there are no objections to the project. Essential oils will be extracted from coniferous branches by steam distillation, and this will also help to clear the degraded biomass in forests.
