As of October 1, the electricity distribution company EVN introduces new periods for payment of the consumed electricity. Each subscriber can check in what period of the month he/she must pay his/her electricity bill on the invoice he/she receives from "EVN". Bills will be paid at post offices.



Mayor Ivan Lebanov gave a speech on the occasion of September 22 - the Independence Day of Bulgaria. The ceremony in front of the municipality was attended by the deputy mayors and a small number of municipal councilors. Festive program was delivered by the Representative Brass Orchestra with a cheerleading squad "Dimitar Mechev".

The employees of the Municipal Administration in Rakitovo took part in the cleaning of the area around the fortress of Tsepina. Labor Day was on Saturday, September 26.

On 28 September in Belovo was held another information day under the project of the three municipalities of Lelingrad, Belovo and Septemvri to the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. The project envisages the creation of Local Action Groups (LAGs) to prepare a local development strategy. For now, the Velingradians are the most passive in terms of participation in the joint project.

On September 20, Mayor Lebanov greeted those professing the Muslim religion with the holiday of Ramadan Bayryam. In his greeting he wished the dialogue between the religions in our municipality to continue to develop within the framework of tolerance and mutual respect.

SOCIALISTS The young socialists in Velingrad created a new union. Plamen Alekov was elected at the head of the united youth organization.

AIDs Until the end of October is the deadline for submitting applications for targeted heating aid. So far, the number of applicants for such assistance in the municipality of Velingrad is over 4200 people and is the largest in Pazardzhik region.
