Mayor Ivan Lebanov returned from the Vancouver Paralympics, which he visited as head of the Bulgarian Paralympics. As of March 29, the mayor takes over the mayoral duties with which the deputy mayor Georgi Yanchev was charged during his absence.



"Eco-Titan" announced a schedule for the spring cleaning of Velingrad. The cleaning is scheduled to take place in the period from March 22 to April 30, with teams and equipment secured for each neighborhood. A separate schedule for the cleaning of schools and kindergartens has also been prepared.

The specialists from the Regional Veterinary Service carry out enhanced inspections of the eggs that are sold commercially before Easter. Most of the eggs are Bulgarian, as there are enough producers. No irregularities have been reported so far. Lamb meat and numerous egg dyes are also checked.

Bazaar The library at the community center "Father Paisii" organizes an exhibition-bazaar of written Easter eggs. It will be held in the lobby of the community center on March 30, Tuesday, at 11 o'clock, and some of the exhibits will be able to be purchased.

RESERVE The municipal leadership of the Union of Officers and Sergeants from the Reserve and Reserve organizes a spring meeting of the five companies from the municipality in the restaurant "Bonjur". More than 150 people participated, and the meeting was opened by the long-time chairman of the SOSHR Regiment. O.S. Georgi Daskalov. A salute to the reserve warriors were the performances of the Impulse Sports Dance Club.

KURCHIBUK The traditional spring holiday KURCHIBUK was presented in the community center "Metodi Draginov" in the village. Draginovo on March 26. The custom of welcoming spring exactly 140 days after Dimitrovden has been observed and passed on to generations for years.

CARNAVAL In colorful carnival costumes the students from Hristo Botev Primary School in Velingrad welcomed the spring. On the 23rd of March, poems and songs were played, created and performed by students from different classes.
