Separately On May 29, Mayor Stoyan Dulev signed a contract with the company "Ekobulpak" for separate collection of waste in Velingrad. It is expected that the company will soon deliver and install the color containers and start an awareness campaign among the population to introduce the new system.

The submission of applications after the seventh grade has started. This year again, the municipality of Velingrad is determined to submit the documents at Vasil Levski Secondary School, and the exams in Bulgarian language and mathematics will be in Pazardzhik. The school is the only one here that offers admission after seventh grade in a humanitarian class with intensive English language learning.

FOLKLORE The children's ensemble "Chepinche" at the community center "St. Sv. Cyril and Methodius” in Velingrad participated in the international folklore panorama Sofia 2007. It was held from 1 to 4 June on an open stage in front of the National Palace of Culture in the capital. The children from "Chepinche" have shown their performance "Shari moma", which includes Yordan Kishev's Tamburashka group, the children's choir with conductor Lazarina Dzhambazova and the dancers led by Nadezhda Kamburova.

Two graduates of the Home for Children Deprived of Parental Care in Velingrad on 28 May were guests of the one organized by the President G. Parvanov prom in Boyana residence.

On the night of June 2, the metal kiosk next to the town toilet in the center of Velingrad was broken into and robbed. A pump was stolen for the inflatable children's castle and a small amount of money.

On Friday, June 1, a car "Skoa Felicia" found itself in the waters of the Chepinska River. At a left turn on the ravine, the driver has lost control. Police and emergency crews have arrived on the scene. The driver is without serious concussions, refused to be tested for alcohol.
