A police officer was detained in Pashovo on Friday. Representatives of the police station-Velingrad were carrying out a routine inspection when they detected the 27-year-old A. B. from the village. He was wearing a traffic police uniform with all its emblems and attributes. It turned out that the man also had an illegal 12-gauge rifle with 2 rounds. He was arrested for 24 hours and police proceedings were initiated against him.

The trade union organization of the Union of Bulgarian Teachers (SBU) held on March 14 in Velingrad training of trade unionists and chairmen of strike committees in educational institutions. The topic of the training was the forthcoming introduction of delegated budgets in schools and the new normative documents of the Ministry of Education.

The residents of Bear Barrel want their settlement to gain city hall status. By order of Mayor Ivan Lebanov, unemployed people started cleaning the entry-exit roads of Velingrad. The spring cleaning of the city in March will involve about 200 unemployed.
